What's your love language?

Some people melt at a thoughtful message, others at a phone free evening or a hand on the shoulder. Ten real dating moments reveal how you most like to receive affection, with a full breakdown of all five.

How the test works

Each of the ten questions offers one answer per love language, listed in a different order in each question. Your result counts how often you chose each one. Ties are broken by the first three questions, which are about how you receive care. The breakdown is a picture of your preferences today, not a fixed type.

How FindLove.ai uses your result

Your primary and secondary love language are saved to your matching profile so your AI matchmaker can suggest people and formats where affection is expressed the way you like it. Nothing is sent to us unless you join the waitlist or save the result to your account, and other members never see your answers.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the idea of love languages come from?

From the 1992 book The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman, a marriage counsellor. It describes five ways people tend to express and receive affection: words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service and physical touch.

Is the love language theory scientific?

Only partly. Researchers have found that people do have preferences in how they like to receive care, but a 2024 review in Current Directions in Psychological Science (Impett, Park and Muise) found little evidence that most people have one single language or that matching languages is what makes couples happy. Most people value all five. Treat your result as a conversation starter, not a diagnosis.

Why do I get a primary and a secondary language?

Because almost nobody fits one box. Your breakdown shows how your ten answers split across all five, which is more useful than a single label.

How does FindLove.ai use my result?

If you join the waitlist or log in to your account, your result is added to your matching profile. It helps your AI matchmaker suggest date formats and people who express affection in a way that will feel natural to you. It is never shown to other members.

Do you store my answers?

Not unless you choose to. Your answers stay in your browser until you join the waitlist or save them to your account.
